April 2008 - Time to ditch the plastic!

Clare is proud to be the first town in East Anglia to go plastic bag free.  To help you be green with style we have a huge range of gorgeous and practical alternatives to the plastic carrier - from brightly coloured raffia shopping baskets (from Terre Rouge in France) to stripy shoulder totes in Spring shades.

March 2008 - New Spring stock

The shop is packed with new stock for Spring including soft furnishings from Swedish specialist, Linum.  The range includes cushions, throws, placemats, napkins and rugs in lovely neutrals and blues with a splash of this season's favourite - lime green.

February 2008 - Valentine's Inspiration!

Lots of romantic gift ideas - from jewellery and lovely French soap to our wonderful pink suede bags...  Just in, fabulous 'Bollywood' hand carved and hand painted hearts make original and enduring alternatives to Valentine's cards.

December 2007 - Christmas and New Year closing

Blue Dog will be closed from 3pm on Christmas Eve until 2nd January.  We would like to wish all our customers a very happy festive season.

30th November 2007 - Clare Christmas Lights

Clare Christmas lights will be switched on at 6pm after the torchlight procession from the church. Blue Dog will be open until 7pm for a head start on the Christmas shopping or just for a look around in the warm!

26th November 2007 - Samantha Holmes alpaca accessories

Just arrived - a selection of scarves and wraps in luxurious Peruvian baby alpaca by Samantha Holmes, including a lovely long, stripy scarf for the chaps. Super-soft and gorgeous colours.

22nd November 2007 - New reading glasses in stock

Our reading glasses have proved so popular we have had to restock already - we now have a great range of designs from glamorous to funky as well as accessories such as contact lens cases, glasses cases and neck chains.
